Terms and Conditions
In making a booking I am acknowledging having read, understood and agree with the following:
UNDER 18:
Saxophone and Clarinet lessons cater for students from the age of 8 or 9, typically Year 3.
Pilates sessions cater for clients from the age of 16, typically Year 10.
All bookings must be created by someone of at least 18 years of age.
FIRST BOOKING:
I will be asked questions of my history and goals to facilitate creating an individual focussed session. If under 18 years of age a guardian/parent is welcome, encouraged, to attend the start of the session for an introductory discussion.
WAHROONGA STUDIO:
Address and contact details will be given once booking and payment are complete. There are external/internal stairs, if this will limit my access availability I will book for an online connection.
The studio is part of a private residence, I will respect the neighbouring community and move quietly to and from the premises; only the participant in the booking should be at the premises and any instrument/s will be set up inside the venue. I will arrive promptly at my booking time noting there is no waiting area within the premises.
The studio is the home of three elderly dogs, if I am allergic or nervous around dogs I will book for an online connection.
I will not attend the studio if I am unwell and will respectfully comply if symptomatic and asked to leave; if at least 60minutes prior notice is given an online connection will be offered for the same scheduled day/time and it is my decision if I can take advantage of this.
I enter the premises and use any facilities/equipment/apparatus at my own risk; no responsibility lies with missjostudios for any injury. I will listen and follow instructions and always bring prior awareness of any injury/condition/concern that may inhibit safety.
I agree that missjostudios is in no way responsible for my personal belongings.
The studio is a shoe free zone; I will have clean socks or bare feet ready.
I will consider the impact of strong deodorants, perfumes and personal hygiene on others.
Bathroom facilities but no shower or specific changing area; I will arrive dressed for the occasion.
PILATES ADDITIONAL
I will wear clothing without exposed zippers or abrasive points that can impact the apparatus upholstery. I will limit jewellery, loose clothing and tie back hair that may impact my use of the apparatus.
I understand that sessions may be physically strenuous, that this, and interacting with apparatus comes with potential risk of personal injury or death; I participate by choice, will listen and follow instructions with care and will not hold missjostudios responsible for any injury or death.
ONLINE ADDITIONAL
Online link and contact details will be given once booking and payment are complete.
Absolute beginner Saxophone and Clarinet lessons not recommended to occur via Online.
I take responsibility for use of any facilities/equipment/apparatus I have available and participate in any movement at my own risk. I will listen and follow instructions and always bring prior awareness of any injury/condition/concern or physical constraint in my environment that may inhibit safety.
If at least 60minutes prior notice is given for unavailability for the scheduled online connection, creation of notes/audio files/video to support ongoing work may occur at the discretion of missjostudios for those who have attended more than once.
Online connection is via zoom; for saxophone and clarinet lessons in particular it is ideal to have a zoom account in order to update personal settings for best audio quality during the lesson. https://zoom.us/signup#/signup
RECORDING PERMISSION
I accept that photo, audio and/or video recordings may be made to provide feedback. These are typically used in the moment or uploaded for my own use, never for public or shared use. My booking gives general permission although verbal permission will always be asked prior to any recording taking place.
missjostudios deletes all photo, video, audio recordings from personal devices at the end of each teaching day.
CALENDAR AVAILABILITY UPDATES AND PERMANENT BOOKINGS
An initial booking is encouraged to ensure both parties are happy to work together.
Calendar availability updates occur at least one month in advance.
Requests for an ongoing permanent time are accepted where available. Invoices are created per approximate “school term” dates and incur an administration fee of $20. Once payment is received, bookings will be created and client control is enabled for rescheduling in line with the “Booking & Cancellation Policy” below.
Ongoing permanent bookings are sent an invoice prior to calendar availability updates with 7 days to secure day/time slots before all times go live.
BOOKING & CANCELLATION POLICY
Payment is required at the time of booking. All bookings are final and no refunds occur.
All bookings and/or rescheduling are made via the booking system. Automatic confirmations are sent via email; it is recommended to keep subscribed to these reminders.
Bookings are accepted up to 24hrs prior
Rescheduling is available up to 48hrs prior, otherwise the booking is forfeited.
If missjostudios cancels a booking, communication will occur to refund or reschedule.
PRIVACY POLICY
missjostudios respects your privacy and ensures safeguards are in place to secure your personal information; the internet can be a tricky playground and so always ensure you feel comfortable before entering any information. Details of name, email address, phone number and relationship between clients (for 2:1 sessions only) are collected by third parties for booking purposes. These details will be used for direct communication between missjostudios and the client for booking purposes only, unless permission is given otherwise, or directed by law. missjostudios will not keep any financial information; third party applications process and may hold this information. Please ensure your personal details are up to date for ease of continued communication. Details known of clients by missjostudios are deleted at the client request or if the client has not booked for more than 6 months.
